Becky-Beth Founder/Owner/Volunteer

Becky personally oversees the well-being of every animal under her care. With a hands-on approach, she manages daily operations, from feeding and caring for the animals to coordinating the sanctuary's activities and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for all. Becky's unwavering commitment to animal welfare drives her to create a sanctuary that feels like a true home for animals in need, making Blandford Sanctuary a place of refuge, healing, and compassion.

"The dream of having my own animal sanctuary had been with me since childhood. I remember saving my pocket money, hosting cake sales, and raising funds for the Margaret Green Animal Sanctuary. Sponsoring a chestnut pony they allowed me to groom him monthly, igniting my dream of one day having my own sanctuary. It was during these formative years that I understood the profound impact animals can have on our lives. After relocating to Blandford, I started my journey by caring for a few orphan lambs, a project I took on with my younger daughter, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This endeavour was not just about the animals; it became a wonderful bonding experience for all of my children, filled with laughter and learning. As we cared for the lambs, we discovered our love for animals grew even stronger, and soon, we found ourselves taking in more and more furry friends that were in need of a home."
