The Rules

We take the safety of our visitors and animals extremely seriously, so here are a few farm rules we have in place to make your experience enjoyable and safe.

  • Children must be supervised at all times by the adult with them
  • Keep all gates closed
  • Keep your fingers away from animals mouths, feed the animals as shown on the day with a flat hand
  • Please ensure all existing open cuts, scratches and grazes are covered with a plaster before you visit the Farm
  • Wear appropriate clothing and footwear
  • No food or drink to be consumed on the farm unless in our designated area near the shepherd hut
  • Wash hands after contact with animals
  • Don't touch your face or put fingers in your mouth after coming into contact with animals
  • Be calm and quiet around the animals
  • Follow the farms guidelines and only hold animals for a short time
  • Never pick up an animal without permission and after being shown how to hold them correctly
  • Always listen carefully to staff at the farm and follow the rules
  • Respect our animals space - please don't chase animals or be heavy handed with them
  • Pregnant women should avoid contact with ewes (Female Sheep) and nanny Goats (Female Goats) and their offspring.

Emergency Evacuation

In the event of an emergency we have procedures in place which all farm staff are familiar with.

If a staff member alerts you to an emergency evacuation you will be advised to make your way to our Exit points (located by the main entrance and main road fence if the entrance is inaccessible).

Please do so in a calm manner, staff will keep you updated and ensure all visitors are off site until safe to return.

First Aid

In the event of first aid needing to be administered we hold a first aid kit in our Shepherd Hut which a staff member will be happy to get. Please let us know of any incidents when they happen, so that we can assist as necessary straight away. We then have an incident report book which we will require you to complete.
